On October 23rd, the municipality of Vaterstetten hosted the festive opening of the art exhibition “Changing Perspectives – Discovering New Horizons” by artist Merima Imamović at the Town Hall. The exhibition, which runs until November 8th, invites visitors to explore the world through a new lens – to question familiar views and discover new connections, colors, and truths.
Merima describes her artistic vision in these words:
“With this title, I want to invite people to look at the world from a different point of view. A change of perspective means questioning what we take for granted and seeing things from another distance, or in another light. When we change our perspective, we often discover new contexts, new colors, and sometimes even new truths. Each work is an invitation to embark on this journey – to discover something new, especially within ourselves and then in the world around us. It is about having the courage to see things differently – beyond what is familiar. It is an inner process, a conscious step towards letting go of old views and discovering new horizons – in art, but also in life.”
The opening ceremony was attended by numerous guests from the local community and the art scene. Mayor Leonhard Spitzauer officially opened the exhibition and congratulated the artist on her impressive artistic journey.
Among the guests was also Prof. Dr. Angelika Niebler, Member of the European Parliament (MdEP), who delivered an inspiring speech and later shared her impressions on social media:
“An evening full of art and inspiration. Merima’s works impress with expression, emotion, and depth – a visit is truly worthwhile. I’ve known Merima for many years and admire the passion and dedication with which she lives her art. She always manages to touch people with her paintings and inspire reflection.”
The event was one of the most attended vernissages in recent times – a well-deserved success for Merima, whose commitment and talent continue to leave a strong impression.
The exhibition “Perspektivenwechsel – Neue Horizonte entdecken” remains open to visitors at the Vaterstetten Town Hall until November 8th.
